Mountains In The Morning
As we were leaving our campground this morning the clouds were playing with the mountains.

Cinnamon Bear Face Time
Nancy and I think that the animals must have contracts requiring so much face time with the tourists.(Sort of like Disney where characters come out and then disappear.) Luckily, we made the Cinnamon Bear Show!

Canada / US Border
This monument is at the line that marks the boundary between Canada and the US. In the distance the boundary has been cleared for as far as you can see. Wonder who has that job (or who is paying for it)?

Trumpeter Swans
We were told to be on the lookout for Trumpeter Swans in the ponds along the roads. We didn't see any until we made it to the US side of the border. (These are an exhibit at the visitors center)

Tetlin National Wildlife Reserve
Here's where they keep the swans. They stay in a nice little box and require no care whatsoever! The Park Ranger (who appeared to be a native Alaskan) said the mystery animal we saw several days ago was a caribou. So now you know too.

Provision Storage
Here's an example of what the natives used to store their food and supplies to keep the animals from getting into them.
Tonight we are staying in Delta Junction, Alaska - the official end of the Alaska Highway. Tomorrow on to Fairbanks - about 90 miles - for sightseeing.
