Alaska Tourist Trap
On Saturday, we headed south to the coastal town of Seward. Along the way we finally found some truth in advertising. Of course Nancy had to stop and see what they had.

Drive to Seward
The highway down to Seward very scenic. The mountains raised almost straight up from the water at the base and the road followed the mountains.

Alaska Rail Road
This is also the termination point (or starting point) for the Alaska Rail Road. During WWII the port was defended as the only ice free harbor that allowed access to mainland Alaska.

Brown & Hawkins
The oldest store in Alaska still in business. It originally outfitted settlers heading into Alaska, but now caters to the tourists.
